The Game
Game Modes
Insurgency currently has 4 game modes:
Occupy
Fight for control of the map in this tug-of-war style game mode. Each team has a point that is easy to defend and a middle point provides the perfect no-man's land. Dominate the map for an extra score bonus but beware, the more you lead the longer your spawn time. Round time is 12 minutes and Supply is accumulated based on individual score and team captures. Work with your team and secure points to gain the most supply.
Firefight
Firefight is a fast-paced struggle to achieve domination over 5 points on the map. Control all five and take the round, but in order to do so you have to fight deep into enemy territory. Round time is 5 minutes and the team that accumulates the most points at the end wins.
Elimination
In this "fight to the last man" scenario, both teams attempt to secure an item of interest and deliver it to their extraction zone. Alternatively, the round can be won by eliminating the opposing team.
HuntComing Soon
Hunt down the insurgents in this coop mode that allows you to team up with friends and eliminate a series of hidden enemies. Hunt requires teamwork, precision and tactics.
Maps
Each of the following levels are designed to work with all game modes:
Siege
Small sized map designed with open streets and and interior close-quarter combat. Based loosily of the streets of Iraq, this map is filled with intense short-range combat with danger lurking around every corner. Watch your corners and secure the objectives!
Heights
Medium - Large sized map set in the mountains of Afghanistan. Players advance through a small mountain village and Insurgent cliff dwellings. Long sightlines and and natural cover provide many oppurtunies for open combat.
Ministry

Classes
The player's class determines speed, precision, armor, equipment capacity and resilience.
Light Class - Skirmisher
The Skirmisher is quick and agile, but not overly supplied. If you are the type of player that prefers to be at the right place at the right time over withstanding large amounts of damage, this is the class for you.

Weapons
There are 6 primary weapon types available to the player at their local weapons cache. Since there are 3 classes, there are approximately 18 different class/weapon combinations, which are technically their own completely unique gameplay style, not including upgrades. Weapons are upgraded from round to round, as the player's team receives additional supply based on their success.
How the player decides to spend this supply is up to them - it can be used to upgrade your weapon, it can be used to get access to equipment such as an RPGs or Grenades, and it can also be used to get team-based incentives
Upgrading your weapon functions as a "tech tree" revealing a round-to-round element of strategy in the game. Below are the 10 primary weapons in the game
